Chapter 23. First Clue

~GABRIELLA'S POV~

"It seems to me like you had a really fun day,” Marie said, her lips curving into a smirk.

“Of course I did, but there was a lot of strange stuff that came with it,” I replied.

“What strange stuff?” Clarabelle asked.

"Firstly, there's the fact that my mate has a double personality, and now I have the job of fixing him. Secondly, there was the little girl who said some weird stuff about a curse and a promise. Honestly, I didn't quite understand all of it, but somehow I'm supposed to unlock memories that'll somehow lead to the curse breaking,” I replied.

“Honestly, when you said that stuff to us about the alpha being your mate, I was a little skeptical, but now..." Clarabelle said.

“Yeah, it's been years, and no one has ever seen the alpha step out of the gates. We all thought he just couldn't, but you saw him do it in your first few weeks. That's crazy; it's probably all that little girl's plan,” Marie added.

“Her plan? You
