Chapter 24. Good Steven

~GABRIELLA'S POV~

After they had finished their conversation, I knocked on the door and stepped away from it. After a few seconds, Alpha Steven's voice sounded.

“Come in; it's open,” he said.

I gently pushed the door open and walked into the room, my head hanging low and my heart filled with worry and fear.

“Good morning, my lord. I've come to assist you with whatever chore you may have for me today,” I said, bowing a little.

He remained silent for a few seconds, then said, “Raise your head."

I raised my head and stared directly into his eyes, waiting to see what he was going to do or say to me.
