Chapter 57. Uneasy

Sean's POV

When Ivy told me that Ezra came back with his fiancée, I thought we had the perfect excuse to get out of his apartment and move to mine.

What I hadn't expected was my cousin objecting to the suggestion. A bit too passionately, if you ask me.

He said there was no hurry and claimed that they wanted company, but I highly doubted that. He had no problem living by himself before, so it sounded like an excuse to me.

Was he refusing because he wanted Ivy to stay longer with him? But he had brought back his fiancée. This meant that he wasn't pursuing Ivy, right?

His fiancée was very friendly and welcoming, but I couldn't help noticing Ezra's behaviour towards her. She insisted on helping him in the kitchen while making dinner, and he didn't look too happy about her being around him. Why had he brought her back?

After they were done, Lana set the table. "Dinner is ready."
