Chapter 48
Justin’s POV
Today is Sarah’s last day in the hospital. She wanted to be discharged sooner so she could say her final goodbye to Oliver at his burial. That’s why Eli and I are on the way to visit her again. We also picked up some fresh flowers for her.
As usual, Eli was driving while I was in the passenger’s seat.
“Passenger princess,” she teased me.
“You know I can’t drive here,” I chuckled.
“Yeah, I’m just kidding,” she smiled and held my hand.
“Are you okay now?” I asked her, even though I knew it’d be hard for her to accept that Oliver was gone. It was Oliver, her best friend and the person she fell in love with. But I have no insecurities against him. Eli chose me, and I’m grateful and relieved about that.
“It’ll be hard, but I’ll be fine,” she answered me, and I nodded.
