Justin’s POV

Time is ticking. In just a few days, I’ll be back in Paris.

Eli said to Sarah that she’d be coming back to Paris. I needed to hear it again from her to make sure. She was driving right now. We were on our way home from Oliver’s wake. It was an emotionally draining day for us, especially for Eli. But I needed an answer. I needed to know if she’d come home with me.

“I’ll be going home in a few days,” I said, looking outside the window.

“You told Sarah you would go back to Paris in a few days. Does this mean you’re going home with me?” I glanced at her.

“I lost someone special to me, Justin. I can’t lose you as well. You were too special,” she said.

“Just promise me you won’t go back to Lana, no matter what happens. I just can’t afford to be hurt again, so please, this is all I’m asking.”

I felt hurt by how hurt Eli was now. She was so fragile. I can’t afford to lose her as well.
