Chapter 7
Eliana’s POV
It didn’t take a day before Marvin asked me out again. I guess he’s been liking my company so far, and I’m glad my plan is going pretty well. We were at the same restaurant, in our usual spot. We were talking about work until I decided to dig into his past relationship.
“How was your past relationship? Did you have a bad or good breakup?” I asked him as I sipped my juice, looking intently at him.
“Oh, it was pretty bad. It happened three years ago. We were college sweethearts,” He smiled as if he recalled their memories before.
“What happened?” I asked, looking so curious at him.
“She became manipulative and controlling. I don’t know what happened, what made her change that way. I loved her so much, but it was suffocating. You understand me, right?” he asked.
