Chapter 12
General Carr sat stiffly at his desk waiting for Natasha. He had told his aides he expected to see her at 1300 sharp. It was now 1301.
He grumbled to Captain Robinson. “I thought I ordered you to tell her to be here at exactly 1300!”
The captain lowered her head. “I did, sir. But you know, civilians are terrible at taking orders.”
A knock on the door.
“Enter,” the general boomed.
Natasha walked into the office.
The general stiffened his back even more. “Tell me you found her,” he barked.
Natasha shrugged. “She has only been gone ten hours.”
“So, we must have some clues where she is?” the general snapped.
Natasha yawned. “None yet. We should know more when the taxis return.”
“I want her back,” the general bellowed.
