Chapter 22. Night of Separation

We arrived at the room, and I have to say, it looked absolutely stunning. The decor and furnishings were incredibly beautiful. In the center of the room was a grand and spacious bed, with a large window to the right, complete with a sofa and coffee table. There was also a dressing table and a big wall-mounted TV. On opposite sides of the room were two substantial frosted-glass doors that concealed their contents. What caught my attention, however, were the numerous picture frames featuring Cassian, proudly displaying his handsome face.

Every corner of the room was adorned with flickering candles and delicate rose petals. It dawned on me that this was our wedding night, and the bed was thoughtfully adorned with a heart-shaped design made from rose petals. The room had a romantic ambiance, with the soft glow of scented candles. Despite the thoughtful preparations, I couldn't shake my unease about the upcoming night.
