I had spent the whole day studying and lost track of time. I realized it was already 10 p.m. and decided to wait for Cassian, who usually came home between 11 and 11:30.
It had been a month since Vivaan left, and Cassian and I were still together, but things were different now. He started going to work when I had my college classes, so we only saw each other in the mornings. There were times when he came home early, and we had somewhat awkward dinners together. Even though we found it hard to communicate openly, I found comfort in the fact that we were spending more time together.
