As Hunter was thinking, Edmund made it clearer.

“I didn’t come here to take Rachel away from Lucas. I just want the truth. I want to know what really happened after Alice was swept away in the river. Did Lucas save her? What happened between them? Why did they choose to live inland like this?”

Hunter raised a hand slightly to pause him.

“What makes you so sure that Rachel is your wife?”

“Everything. Her face, her hair, her voice, the way she speaks, the way she behaves. She even named our child Sky, according to the promise we made long ago.”

“Sorry, Mr. Hills, but all of that could just be a coincidence,” Hunter said, trying to side with Lucas.

“You may check her wrist. I’m sure you’ll find scars there. On her right thumb, there is a small mole. And her blood type—”
