Hawa’s POV
I needed to find a phone quickly. Someone had stolen my phone during the widowhood period. I had almost gone crazy, as all my models were lost. I really hoped my drive retained some of them.
Aunt Djènaba Kaba was like a second mother to me, teaching me so much about life. She was Uncle Birama’s first wife, an angel who took me under her wing from the moment we met. Though she never had children, she treated me as her own, perhaps binding us even closer since I didn’t have children either.
After losing my mother and being abandoned by my maternal family during the four years with my husband, I never felt the absence of a mother because Aunt Djènaba filled that void. She rebuilt my education in every way. Reflecting on everything she taught me about taking care of our husband, I realize she was quite a flirtatious and spirited woman.
