Ousmane’s POV

In the evening at home, I found that Hawa had prepared everything. Now, I had dinner with the employees. I broke my fast with them, and I admitted that it was better than eating alone. When I ate with the others, I noticed that I had more appetite. It was only after the big prayer that we had dinner.

After the break and the prayer in the mosque, I sat in the living room to follow the news.

“Uncle, I made some tea, do you want some?”

Uncle? Since when did she start calling me that? I analyzed our relationship, and I didn’t see it. She is Marega, and I am Haïdara, yet she stubbornly calls me ‘uncle.’

“Yes, put it here. Thank you.”

She put it on the table, then got up to leave. I called her back.

“Yes, Uncle?”

“Are you busy?”

“No, I finished what I had to do. I was about to go to bed.”

“Please, take a seat.”

She sat down and looked at me with her beautiful eyes. I had never seen such a captivating lo
