The knock on the door interrupted my work.

“Yes, come in.”

“Mr. Haïdara, your friend Mr. Keita is here.”

“Please let him in.”

I stapled the documents I had in my hand and put them in the file cabinet.

“Hey, bro! How is it going?”

“It’s okay, Karim, take a seat.”

He sat down with a smile on his face.

“You have the face of someone who had a good night,” I smiled.

“To say the least,” he laughed. “The effects of the new car. My wife literally drained me of all energy.”

“I told you, man,” I chuckled. “She liked it, right?”

“Very much, bro.”

“Cars always have that effect on women,” I said with a wink.

“She’s crazy about it. She already went out with it this morning.”

“Ah, that’s good, it’s nice to see them happy.”

“Thank you, friend.”

“You’re welcome. Deadlines suit you, don’t they?”

“Yes, I have a deal in mind, and if it works out, I think I’ll pay it all off
