I watched them every day. Because I was fulfilling a dead man’s dying wish.
They had no idea he had more than one enemy —and they were all out to get her.

My phone rang. I grabbed it almost immediately.
It was from one of the guys.
“Jer, you have to be here... now,” he said.
I hung up and stood, walking into my closet.
I grabbed a black face cap, threw on a leather jacket and black pants, then left the small apartment on the outskirts of the city where I’d been hiding.
It was nearly impossible to trace my GPS location or IP address. I made sure of that. I was a tech guru, and it took next to nothing for me to break into any company’s database.
That’s how I changed her name in the company records.
