Joan POV

“Hey. I got a doctor’s appointment today, so I’m headed to the hospital,” I said as I peeked in Aaron’s study where he was seated with Adrian definitely discussing business.

He glanced at me before turning to Adrian.

“You round up things and we’d talk about it once I’m back,” he said before getting on his feet. I raised a brow.

He accompanies me to every doctor appointment, but I was thinking since he was busy with Adrian he could sit this one through. I was wrong – obviously.

I watched as he walked towards me, pulling the door wider. I stepped aside and he shut it before cocking his head to the side and staring at me.

“Let’s go,” he muttered and I followed him immediately.

“I was thinking you’d sit this one through and tend to your guest,” I said and he shook his head, grabbing his phone out of his phone.

“I promised to attend every session with you,” he mumbled before bringing the phone to his ear.
