Chapter 122. Stress

I watched as the doctor checked her blood pressure and her heart rate. She just laid on the bed staring at the ceiling.
I knew she was pissed. I didn’t consult her before bringing in bodyguards, but she had no idea I was trying to keep her safe and protect her.
Since Maco was in town, I don’t want to be caught off guard and if it hadn’t been a doctor’s appointment, I’d have made sure she didn’t leave the house today. She deserved an explanation and yeah, I was giving her one once we got home.
The new cars? I’d gotten bulletproof models, something that she’d be safe in. That a bullet won’t penetrate.
Because I know when it comes to that stage, when Maco isn’t able to take her – because I wouldn’t let him – it’d retort to gunshot and I don’t want a bullet hitting her. Whether it was intentional or not.
