Chapter 24. Little Debate (2)

"Morning, Ma'am," Anna greeted, busy with numerous orders while the table across from her wasn't much different. Technically, it wasn't morning, but nearly noon. This was the first time I had actually been late to the office. I arrived in the room at quarter past ten.

Even though I had informed Joice

and Anna, it still felt strange. Usually, if I was late to the office, it was purely due to work-related matters, not personal ones like today. Engaging in random conversations had made me momentarily forget that time passed so quickly.

"Ndrew, we're late to the office," I said hurriedly, pocketing my phone after receiving a notification from Anna asking about my whereabouts.

"Ah... right. Ai's correct."

Even though I had been in the lobby for an hour and a half, we were sitting in a corner café across from the office. Enjoying what Andrew had mentioned earlier: a cup of Americano and a cheese toast. As I was about to leave, Andrew held me back.
