Chapter 25. Wellington’s Family
My concentration scatters, who knows where. Even until the meeting ends, I am unable to absorb the given reports at all. I ask Anna to summarize as briefly as possible so I can study them further tomorrow.
"Mrs. Krystal ... would you like me to make some jasmine tea for you?" Anna offers softly. Perhaps she's afraid of interrupting me as I stare at the computer screen in silence. I have returned to the room. The meeting was brief, perhaps because I didn't ask many questions and simply agreed. I could see it myself, the two marketing managers who are under me, exchanging confused glances.
"Sure. Are you not busy?" It feels strange for her to make me a drink instead of the office boy. But truly, Anna's homemade jasmine tea is delicious and momentarily relaxes me. I gently massage my temples, just to alleviate the fatigue.
"Krystal, you need to know that Andrew's position is still not secure."
