Chapter 107. His Voice

Maureen's POV

'Can you please clean up the guest room on the left?' The Luna said to one of the staff as we led Mara up the stairs. 

She was no longer crying but she looked weak and unhappy. The Luna had said we should take Mara to her room. We couldn't talk in that scattered room. 

'I need to go see the girls,' Mara said again tiredly after Lucia and I made her sit down on a chair in the Luna's room. 

'I can mind link a soldier to get Adelia to check on the girls. Only on the condition that you tell me exactly what is going on,' the Luna said to her. 

Mum came out of the bathroom with the first aid box and got to work on Mara's right hand. The cut was already healing, but she had to get the glass shards out so that the wound could heal properly. 

Mara winced when Mum removed a shard that was stuck on her middle finger. When Mum was through, she applied ointment and wrapped it in gauze. I was sure it would heal in minutes. <
