Lance's POV

'You did a good job Ian. Kudos to you,' the Alpha said patting a beaming Ian on the back.

When we had made all the plans, I had feared that Ian might not be able to pull it off. I voiced my reservation and he assured us that he could do it as far as it had nothing to do with spilling blood. 

It had been important for us to make everything believable. Elder Nat, the Alpha and dad had come up with the plan.We were told about the plan and we agreed immediately.

Dominus could have been the best person to do it but he was the Alpha's son and the Alpha needed to project a united family front. Dominus' absence would have been too conspicuous.

'But this is not the end. He will be back or preferably let me say that he will keep investigating us. People like him don't back down easily,' the Alpha said.
