Chapter 49. The Perfect Glow
I had spent almost the whole day with Lucia indoors. At some point Maureen had called Lucia on the phone asking why she was not in Grandma Gina's room as discussed.
I had heard Lucia tell Maureen that she and I had somethings to talk about.
'So we really have something that I don't know about to discuss, right?' I had teased her after she dropped the call.
'I don't want her to know yet,' she said frowning.
I gently rubbed the spot between her brow. 'Don't frown like that all the time. You might get wrinkles too early,'I flipped her nose. 'What were you girls planning to do in Grandma Gina's room?'
'I forgot to tell you something when you returned yesterday.'
'I would not blame you. It wasn't possible to remember anything in that type of mood,' I winked at her playfully and she blushed.
It was lovely to watch as her blush crept up her entire face.
'Stop teasing me Dom,' she said shyly.
