Maureen's POV

The preparation for Lucia's formal introduction to the pack had totally taken my mind off the incident where I nearly killed Lucia.

I saw the excitement in Lucia's eyes and also the nervousness. The thought of the fact that she will be introduced as the future Luna must be very overwhelming for a simple girl like Lucia. 

'Do you think the pack will accept me?' She had asked the previous night when we were picking the best jewelry for the cloth she was going to wear for the ceremony. 

'Why won't they accept you?' I asked looking at her as if I wanted to scold her.

'You know I am plained face. I don't think I am beautiful or charismatic enough to be a Luna,' she said sadly.

'Are you fishing for compliments?' I asked raising a side of my mouth

'What do you mean?' She asked looking confused.

'You know you are beautiful Lucia. If you want me to reassure you, just say it,' I answered.
