Chapter 54. Torn

'Dominus, can I come in?' I asked as I knocked at his door. 

The door opened and I stepped in to see that it was Dominus who opened the door. 

He looked a bit rough and unhappy. I knew he would have been very worried for his mate. 

I saw that Lucia was still lying on the bed, sleeping.

'How is she?' I asked looking at Lucia's sleeping form.

'She is fine I think. She ate something and said she wanted to sleep.' 

'What about you? Are you okay? You look unhappy,' I said.

'Come in and sit down, Lance,' Dominus said closing the door and led me to the sofa. 

'You know Maureen would never hurt Lucia intentionally, right?' I asked Dominus when we were seated. 

'I don't even know what to think, believe me. I am torn between protecting my mate and standing with my sister,' he said rubbing his hand on his face.
