Chapter 34
Leila’s POV
I smiled, seeing that no one was in the stream. “Hmm, finally! Peace of mind ...” I uttered while removing my clothes. The only sound I heard was the buzzing of insects and birdsong in the early morning light, and I was the only human present. I thought, while descending into the water.
“Hmm, every night I will visit this place...” I murmured while swimming. Last night I didn’t enjoy the water because it was too crowded and I was tired from the day’s activities.
After a few minutes, I heard crackles and the feel of the cool water around me. I immediately stopped swimming and looked at my surroundings.
“Is anyone here?!” I boldly asked, even though I saw nothing in the area.
[Sound of crackling on the other side of the lake...]
I could make out the shape of the descent into the water at the far end of the spring, barely illuminated by the pale moonlight.
“I know someone is there! Speak up, or you will be in trouble!” I’m not sure
