Apphia’s POV

I was surprised that my mate was letting me go to the vampire estate. I watch him discuss with Duncan, Gavin, Drake, and Blade. Blade and Lily came with sapphire royal lycan pack warriors.

We had been in a long meeting, during which I gave the generals and warriors detailed directions to the vampire’s estate-everything I could remember, including the locations of the cells.

“Hello, Luna!” I hear a familiar voice. I turn with a smile on my lips and face Prince Knox.

“Knox, I didn’t know you were coming,” I beam. I missed him. He kisses my cheek and pats my hair. I frowns.

“Don’t do that,” I slap his hand away from my hair.

“I couldn’t let you have all the fun killing those leeches,” he grins. I roll my eyes at him; he loves to fight. “ Also, I’ve come with your little friend,”

“My friend?”

“Shai!” he calls, glancing over his shoulder. I could cry right now. Meow. And there she is, emerging from the door behind.
