"Alpha, you're tracking Becca again. What were your plans for her?" Jonas inquired as he sat across from Alpha Elyon, who wore a satisfied grin on his face.

Despite being obligated to follow Elyon's orders, his loyalty to Becca pressed heavily on him. He knew that when she was in Moon Shine, all she thought about was escaping; she never gave any indication that she was interested in being with Elyon. Furthermore, he doubted her perspective had shifted following Luna Xena's passing.

"She was going to be my Luna, as I had already promised her," Elyon stated resolutely. "The time had come to honor that commitment. We belonged together, we made an incredible team."

Jonas paused, carefully choosing what to say next. "But she has a human mate and a child," Jonas calmly reminded his Alpha. "Don't you think she might choose them instead? She never made it a secret that she wanted to go back."
