Elyon’s POV
The first indications that something was amiss came from Jonas and Jonathan.
Each of the men had difficulty concentrating as I outlined our strategy for defending my case at the Council. It was evident they were grappling with their wolves, their eyes frequently shifted colors, and Johnston in particular struggled to maintain control over Xin.
At a certain point, continuing the conversation became futile as no one was paying attention to me. When I looked over my shoulders, Kendall and Krystal were completely captivated by a small child belonging to the man seated across from them. He being human made his child less intriguing to me, though it was quite unusual for a man to be traveling alone with such a young one without the mother present.
The flight attendant caught my eye as she asked with a playful wink if I needed anything.
