I agreed with Jerney to call back once I got home.

We had to work out this new plan properly; we couldn't afford to let anything go wrong. I had to be very careful, my pup must not be in any kind of danger on the way to his father.

Once home, I fed Klevin and put him to sleep in his crib. As I lay in bed, my mind raced with plans and potential pitfalls. This mission was daring and risky, but I had no choice. I had to think through every detail.

Someone would have to take Klevin to Zane, but it couldn’t be a werewolf.
