Cara's POV

The waitress finally delivered our order, though she gave one more glance at Rollins.

"Do you always attract this much attention?“ I asked, before I realized what I had said.

"Huh?"

"Don't tell me you don't notice all the stares.“

"I don't care about those, all I care about is you, what you think of me and you seem to be missing all the stares you are getting.“

"Me?"

"You don't see what every other person out there sees, what I see.“

"Jake didn't see that“, I said, that was another slip. I never wanted to bring him up here, but he was the one that made me doubt myself, made me believe I wasn't good enough.

"Jake, your ex boyfriend?“, he gritted his teeth, "Sometimes I wished I found you earlier, before anyone could come close to you“, he says, and it was surprising that this was what I wished for too.

"I shouldn't talk about him with you.“
