Cara's POV

"And if I refuse to go on this date with you?, what happens?" I asked, staring at his lips."

"Then... I'll have to force you," he said, coming closer.

I swallowed, watching him. His thick black hair was neatly packed backwards, his emerald eyes staring at me with so much intensity that I might melt right before him, but then I see it—the little imperfection that I hadn't noticed. How didn't I notice the scar on his jaw? I traced my hands on his face and then on the scar but held onto my hands, taking it off his face.

He didn't like me touching that scar; a part of me knew that there must be a story behind that, a story that he wanted to keep to himself, maybe a secret.

"What happened to you? How did you get the scar?"

"Just regretful mistakes," he said, letting my hands go. I wanted to know what those mistakes were, but I couldn't push it.
