Since Layla exposed me at that party, my life has been in flames.

Clients backed out one by one. Investors stopped accepting my calls. Reporters filled my voicemail with questions to which I had no answers. The phone never stopped ringing. Each time it rang, my stomach twisted.

I had stopped going to the office. Every time I attempted to leave my house, the press were there, cameras in my face, screaming my name.

I could not deal with it. I just stayed home, curtains closed, running what was left of my brand from the living room.
