Orion’s POV
I was sitting in my dark room staring out at the empty bottles on my table. I felt as if my life had all escaped me overnight.
“Lawsuits, family betrayal, bankruptcy…” I muttered aloud, my voice shaky. “How did it get to this?”
The company I had created was gone. The money that I thought would never run out, was finished.
The family I thought I could count on, had all abandoned me. My father was only looking out for himself. My mother was duped by Grace into giving away the money. In the end, my own family betrayed me and left me empty-handed. And now I had lawsuits hanging over my head like a curse.
I leaned back, closing my eyes. “I have nothing left. Nothing at all.”
I thought of her.
