Chapter 29. I’ll Get You a Ring!

Grace’s POV

After that fateful day with Layla, life with Orion hasn’t been more peaceful.

I never had to worry about Layla and her tantrums. She was gone.

I felt a bit of guilt the first few days, but that was it, I no longer cared for her anymore.

Orion had promised to take me to see his parents, and I was more than just excited.

The day for us to go to his parent’s house came, and we were all dressed up and ready to go when he received a call.

He had to go to the office to attend to an important issue.

He was hesitant, but I saw how important it was and told him it was okay.

We ended up postponing the visit to his parents as his workload had increased and Layla’s shares that were transferred to him were now under his complete control.

His work took a lot of his attention that even the next few weekends weren’t suitable for our visit.

I stayed calm about it cause I knew Orion would keep his promise to me and wasn’t
