Chapter 25

Mom shoved Yulan out of the room. Chris, however, asked me to wait while he went out to make a call. I stayed inside my ward alone; something tells me I am not being allowed to know what has happened.

I overheard Mom discussing it with Chris outside. Chris asked her about Yulan, and she told him not to bother her.

They both strode into the room later. Chris asked Mom to get me ready while he went to sign some documents.

Mom heaved me up. She wanted to know if I still felt pain in my abdomen.

I told her no, and forthwith she grinned and brought me to the car parked in front of the hospital.

A call comes in, and she leaves.

I was alone in the car when I noticed someone standing behind me when the usual breeze settled.

I turned to confront Yulan.

"Hello Sophia," She takes a look around.

Yulan was rather acting odd; I saw Mom talking on the phone, and she did too.

She pulled my hand away and asked me to come with her.

Yul
