Chapter 29

"I'm sorry, do you know each other?" I asked.

My question seemed lethal for Mom when Mr. Fabian responded with a nod.

"Yes, we do." He says.

I was rather hoping Mom got to tell the truth; however, she somehow managed to sneak away from answering any questions.

We both came back to the hospital. I had left Mr. Fabian under the supervision of Mr. Richard.

Chris was trying to walk when he saw us coming in.

He looks at his mom. "Is everything okay?"

I'm sure after seeing the look on her face, he must've suspected something was wrong.

Mom brushed off every evil thought and smiled.

"Yes, son, but tell me, where are you going?" She went ahead to help him.

Fredrick comes to the room later. He handed a letter to Mom and informed her that the doctor would be discharging Chris tomorrow morning.
