Chapter 35

We got to the place where Yulan's body was kept, and the man in charge of her body stepped outside to meet us. We stood in front of the mortuary ward.

Inspector Jude asked if we could see Yulan's corpse.

The man who worked there stared back; he was a lot hesitant to accept but ended up doing so.

We went in with him.

He pointed to where Yulan's corpse was kept.

I went ahead to open it.

I hoped that the body wasn't that of Yulan; however, as soon as I opened the bag, I almost choked out of surprise.

"Whoa! She is dead." I exclaimed.

Inspector Jude helped me close the bag; he held me, and we both left together.

I still can't understand how that happened. And if Yulan is truly dead, there's no way Chris wouldn't be able to go to jail.

How? What's going on?

I came home a little while later.

Inspector Jude had me dropped home safely, before leaving.

Fabian saw me walking into the mansion.
