Chapter 59
One week while they're driving down the road, Lacey's car breaks down and they have to stop at a gas station on the side of the road. While her husband pumps gas into the car, she goes inside to ask if anyone knows where there is a mechanic nearby. A few minutes later, someone walks up to her. It's a man in his late thirties or early forties. He's tall and lanky with wavy brown hair and big blue eyes. He smiles at her and asks what he can do for her.
"You're a mechanic?" she asks.
"Yes, I am," he replies.
They talk for a bit, and soon enough he offers to fix her car for free since it's such a simple job. After the work is done, she thanks him over and over again for fixing her car. Then as he drives away, she watches him drive off into the distance.
