Chapter 40. Clarity
I helped Roy lie down in their bedroom, just as I expected, his wife Auntie Anne hadn't come home tonight again. She was probably with his man.
We practically stumbled up the stairs due to his heaviness, and my vision was getting blurry as well because of the drunkenness.
"Fuck," Roy whispered.
I couldn't count how many times he'd cursed since I found him on the terrace earlier. As much as I was irritated by his tearful confession about how much Anne had hurt him, I didn't have any other choice.
"I'm going to kill that guy," he said, trying to sit up, but I pushed him back down on the bed.
I'd been restraining the anger I felt towards him since I found him. I was confused if he really loved me or if he loved his wife because his actions seemed to indicate that his true love was for her.
"I'll kill you if you don't stop," I threatened, my anger peaking.
