Chapter 11

Zea's POV

The houses stood triangular to each other so that a small courtyard was formed in the middle, where there was already a lot of activity.

It was similar to being on a city square: small children were fooling around, stressed adults were running from A to B, and in between you caught glimpses of small groups of young people laughing and chatting.

“The house on the right here is the main building, me and Phoenix live there, with my big sister May and his brother Fyron. About 15 other members live in the same building but separate from us. The rest live in sections B and C. Everyone else lives in the forest or over at the tree line," Jaxon said as we walked towards the main building.

Jaxon was often greeted and I was just stared at. I feared it was because the beta was dragging me by my forearm.

"I'm so glad the paths here are paved, otherwise I'd fall in my shoes," I said casually as we walked up a few steps to the white porch. J
