Chapter 12
Zea's POV
I didn't know how long I had been walking; the forest seemed like an endless ocean from which there was no escape. It was only after many minutes that I realized, exhausted, that I was lost.
Keeping a cool head while everyone was screaming to turn around and go back to the blue-eyed man was incredibly draining.
I took a quick breather at an old nail tree, but a voice made me jump.
"A little doll alone in the forest, well, well, well. Didn't your mother teach you anything else, Doll?" purred a man who now emerged from the shadows and came to a halt just in front of me.
I was so drained of energy that I didn't even bother to answer the man, after all, it wouldn't do any good anyway.
What I noticed was that it was the same man who addressed me as 'Kitten' at Violet's yesterday I could vomit thinking about it.
