Chapter 13
Zea's POV
I wasn't young anymore. I knew myself, even if I was beginning to doubt that I had ever really known myself.
If I were to play a companion after eight hundred years, then I never really knew Zea Divina.
"Can you tell me why you're lying in the mud and smelling like those cheap sluts who dance at me in the club and get rejected every time?"
I didn't flinch like I usually did when I suddenly heard a voice.
I didn't turn my head to look at the boy either, but continued to stare at the sky, despite the shadow that had fallen over me.
"Well, I hate you for this," my best friend grumbled and, against his will, sank on the grass next to me.
"Does the lady still plan to talk to me, or has the sight of me left her speechless?" he murmured impatiently and finally I turned my head to look at him.
Cole's head was only a few centimeters from mine so his brown hair tickled my face slightly and I could feel his calm breath
