Chapter 120

Valeria's POV

There was a long spiral stone staircase leading down. The steps were shiny but sanded down the middle. The railing was made of ornate metal. There was a huge chandelier hanging from the ceiling, which illuminated everything. And although some of it looked very old and noble, it was still furnished in a modern way. The walls were white and had large modern art paintings hanging on them. The floor was made of marble slabs and shone like one.

I expected the Alpha to be standing there waiting for me, like in all the Hollywood movies, but he didn't. On the one hand, I was relieved and on the other hand, I was disappointed. So we went downstairs and Blondie led me straight through a wide double door into a large dining room with a table that could seat at least 10 people.
