Valeria's POV

I sat down on the grass and enjoyed the peace. After I had enough energy and sunshine, I looked around. There was a two-meter-high hedge around the garden so that no one would see me from the outside when I had to go there. I walked towards the door. It was about five feet high and came up to my neck.

I was just about to push the handle down when I heard someone shout from behind, "What are you doing?" Damn. I quickly pushed the handle down to find that the door was locked. Great. I guess sturdy shoes tonight then climb over it.

I turned around, put on a fake smile, and said “Nothing. I just wanted to see where it went." To make my point clear, I pointed to the forest and the door and batted my eyelashes.

"Nothing that interests you. Just forest. For miles." He eyed me critically.
