Valeria's POV

She looked at me with a warm smile while I was unable to say anything. So I just nodded and waited anxiously for her answer.

“Well then, let’s take a look. She moved the ultrasound back and forth on my stomach and kept making thoughtful sounds.

I slowly found my voice again. "And?" I asked embarrassed.

She put the device aside, wiped my stomach, and had the pictures printed out. She then handed them to me and smiled kindly at me. "Let me congratulate you. It's a boy."

She stood up from her seat and I followed suit. We went back to the consulting room and she explained a few things to me that I had to pay attention to from now on. She wanted to see me every four weeks and if there were any complications, I should be seen immediately. I thanked her and said goodbye before heading back to the elevator.
