Chapter 239

Olivia's POV

I should ask my mom if we can go to the hardware store to get some paint because this room could use a new coat of paint. So I ran back down the stairs and made a plan of what colors I wanted to paint my new room. My last rooms in the other houses were kept very simple, but this principle would not do justice to this one.

The floor is dark wood, as is the ceiling, so light colors on the walls would look better. A nice green or white, maybe? And then embellishments with a darker color. Flowers or plants would fit. I had to grin at the thought of it.

“What makes you grin so much, my darling? I hope it's the thought of your favorite food." My mother spoke to me, already stirring the pot.

"Pasta with tomato sauce and minced meatballs?"

She turned to me and nodded at me.

"The day is getting better and better," I exclaimed happily and sat down at the table to keep my mother company.
