But this assumption on their part was wrong. Even more than that, because I knew exactly what was lurking out there. I knew everything. Everything that my mother wanted to protect me from. I knew that werewolves existed and they lived among us. I also knew that my father had been kidnapped and probably killed. I knew a lot about this vile species, or at least everything that could be found in the books.
I turned around with my arms crossed. “But...”
But she didn’t let me finish. “I'm not arguing with you! Pack your things and then put them in the car. We're leaving in an hour."
This woman left no room for argument. I huffed out a frustrated breath and grabbed the first box to put in the trunk. Since we've moved several times, there aren't too many things left, which I always have to take with me. And since our car doesn't have unlimited space, you just have to decide.
