I didn't know why it meant so much to him. In the end, I was just a stranger and he was a boy who had an amazing effect on my body. But anyone who looks like that probably would.
We stared, transfixed, as the remains of the victims burned. The silent crowd that had gathered for the funeral slowly thinned out. Not a word was spoken. Some cried. Maybe mothers, sisters, or wives of the fallen.
