"Are you sure it's fine for us to be together again?" Wolfie asked me with trepidation. Because I was unable to assist him when he required my assistance the most, the previous couple of days have been absolute hell for him, and I've been in the dumps as a result of my inability to assist him.

I greeted him with a grin and an extended hand as I led him down the stairs to the kitchen, where Amber had already taken Myrtle a few moments before. "Yes, baby, just come on out," I told him. He took a deep breath and looked at me with a conflicted expression before taking my hand and allowing me to guide him to our partners.

Both Myrtle and Amber quickly turned to face us as soon as we walked into the room, giving us their full attention. Myrtle was perched on top of the kitchen island, and Amber was talking to her. When Myrtle spotted us, her gorgeous big eyes lit up, and she smiled that time-stopping smile that I had missed so much during our time apart.
