Myrtle's POV

I'm such a waste of space. How am I supposed to console and comfort my partner while I am a complete emotional disaster myself? After Amber explained what had taken place and what the monsters had done to her, she sobbed herself to sleep while I trembled in Hade's grip as we discussed what had transpired. Hade and I wailed uncontrollably, and even Juan concealed his watery eyes from the three of us because none of us had any power over what we would do at this very moment.

The dim room had an oppressive atmosphere, and the bed, which had been comfortable until the previous day, gave the impression that it was trying to stab us. Why did Amber hold back on telling us for such a long time? She went through a lot for her age, which was relatively young. I simply want to show her how much I care and reassure her that everything will be well. Her stunning appearance was marred by tear striations, which made her skin feel raw in the morning. As Juan continued to press her
