Chapter 57

Amber’s POV

"Is that Amber?" I was roused from my slumber by the familiar sound of "Wake up, my love," but I was still experiencing the same feelings of fatigue and exhaustion in spite of the fact that I had far more sleep than is typical for me. It didn't take long for the relaxing rocking motion of the car to put me to sleep. I let out a sigh as I stretched my arms and looked up to see Juan's kind smile and his hand on my shoulders. His hand was around my shoulders. When I peeked out the window while nuzzling into his side, I noticed that the roads and woodlands appeared quite similar, which meant that we were getting closer to the pack settlement.

"We are here already." I inquired with a groggy tone.

Hade, who was standing on the other side of me, laughed and said, "You've been asleep for the past four hours."

"Oh" was the only thing that came out of my mouth before I realized why I was still so exhausted and unable to move in any way. Even though I had enough re
